Argyle is the perfect centralized location for attending events, shopping and eating out. Bluegrass musicians and fans attend the Annual Bluegrass Festival every March in Argyle and Texas Motor Speedway in Northlake, is a short drive to the west. Just to the north, is the historic downtown square of Denton, Texas. Denton is the home of the University of North Texas, which offers a top rated music school. Indie bands and aspiring musicians can often be seen playing around this historic square. Other nearby towns include Bartonville, Highland Village, and the newly refurbished downtown Roanoke, which boasts saloon style restaurants and shops.
